Immer nur von oben ist ja auch fad...abgesehen davon, das der so weit oben saß, dass ich die Kamera eh nicht so hoch raufgebracht hätte...

Danke!

Looking like a hangglider ready to go. It'sreally shows how delicate the legs are :)

Yeah, that's been my association as well. And in a way they are like hanggliders...designed to fly...

Wanted a different angle, not the usual upperwings shot (which wouldn't have been possible anyway, because the butterfly was higher up than I am tall :D )...

Lovely composition, especially because you've got this great diagonal angle of the insect!

What an angle...looks ominous.. At first I thought it was a walking stick of some kind, until I looked closer...:D Neat perspective on that flutterby...:)

:giggle: I've got a walking stick at home...
On the downside, this perspective is no good for species identification.

Hehe, back to the roots Ms Marble???
Seems you can't give up your love to the butterflies.
However it's a wonderful pic and the angle is weird but nice. Do you have a tripod for your pics, because it's so sharpe, or maybe you have a very still hands.
What kind of butterfly is this? A 'Schwalbenschwanz'? It#s very hard to identify it without seeing its wings :(

Yeah working with a tripod through the streets or nature is also not my thing. Because other people looks something weird to you walking along with it. Take the cam always with me and I get the best pics if I'm not expecting to make some :)

I never really left my roots...the love's just too strong to be given up. :)

I borrow my dad's tripod sometimes, but just for stuff I shoot in my room, I'm to lazy to carry the damn thing around with me all the time, so this shot was handheld (like 99% in my gallery). I just try until I get a shot that's sharp enough. Can be tricky in dim light...:(

I don't really know what kind of butterfly it is, I don't think it is a European species. Couldn't get a pic of its upper wings because it was too high up for me to place the cam over it...

I've got angles where one can see more of it...but just the underwings, I couldn't get a pic of the upperwings because the butterfly was high up and I wasn't tall enough to place my cam over it...:D

Thanks a lot for the comment!
