And no, it's not dead serious, I just needed a title...but I really liked this one when it finally entered my brain.
The church here is the Votivkirche in Vienna. More pics of that one to come.
(And before anyone tells me it's a bit dark: I wanted it dark. Constructive criticism is very welcome, though. Always!)
Strangely enough it does look as if the church was attacking heaven.. or in an act of hybris fancying itself being able to reach it, like with the tower of Babel. Well... that's the church for you I guess
It is a great shot, too, at any rate - one can almost see the clouds moving and feel one's own head lifted to stare up... it has an air of very slight dizzyness - you know, like looking up and being irrtitated by the movment in the sky.
Like sathom, reminds me of the Tower of Babel also.
Has a very, very good sense of light and dark, and height, also. Feels like you're laying down and looking at the two. Not to mention makes you feel small
