I'm not sure who was cursing the cold louder - the bird or my boyfriend, who hates winter more than anything :D

Thanks for the comment!

Well, I bribe them with food :D
And I go to a park where lots of people feed the birds so they are kinda used to it. And then it involves lots of waiting and slowly trying to get closer without scaring them away.

I like this the most of the three last pictures you've submitted :). I won't say that the other 2 are bad, nonono they are even good. I love them too, but this is a bit funny :D

I guess they have to be fast. Otherwise they wouldn't survive long.

Lovely shot. I like it very much. This shot look more lively thanks to the fact you caught the bird 'in-action'. I could really imagine the bird saying "Waaah, that's cold..."

Actually it was probably more like "Gimme food, I'm hungry!" because I was giving them some sunflower seeds at that time and this birdie was a bit too slow to get anything from the first seeds... :D

I've managed this a couple of times before with sparrows. It's funny...when I try to capture a snake or lizard with the tongue out I rarely succeed, but with sparrows it just happens...
